وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ قَالَ : طُفْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، فَمَسِسْتُ بَعْضَ الْأَصْنَامِ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا تَمَسَّهَا " . قَالَ : فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَهَذَا يُفَسِّرُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ أَنَّ شُهُودَهُ لِلْإِنْكَارِ عَلَيْهِمْ .
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day I was performing tawaf with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I touched one of the idols. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Do not touch it." The narrator said: After this he mentioned the complete narration.
At-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. This explains what has passed before, that the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) there was in order to denounce those people.
