بَابُ عِصْمَتِهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مِنَ الْبَاطِلِ .

Majma al-Zawaid 13863 — The protection of the Prophet ﷺ from falsehood
وَعَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَسْتُ مِنْ دَدٍ ، وَلَا دَدٌ مِنِّي " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ نَصْرٍ التِّرْمِذِيِّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْأَزْهَرِيِّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I have nothing to do with falsehood, and falsehood has nothing to do with me."
At-Tabarani recorded it from Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Nasr al-Tirmidhi, from Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahhab al-Azhari, and I do not know either of them; the remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
