وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَسْتُ مِنْ دَدٍ ، وَلَا دَدٌ مِنِّي " . قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ : لَسْتُ مِنَ الْبَاطِلِ ، وَلَا الْبَاطِلُ مِنِّي . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ ، وَلَكِنْ ذَكَرُوا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مِنْ مُنْكَرَاتِ حَدِيثِهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ ، وَقَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : قَدْ تَابَعَهُ عَلَيْهِ غَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have nothing to do with falsehood, nor does falsehood have anything to do with me." Abu Muhammad Yahya bin Muhammad bin Qays said: It means that I have no connection with falsehood, and falsehood has no connection with me.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and at-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Yahya bin Muhammad bin Qays, who has been declared trustworthy, but they have listed this hadith among his munkar (denounced) narrations, and Allah knows best. Al-Dhahabi said: Others have corroborated him in it.
