وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَالَ : " قَلَبْتُ مَشَارِقَ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا ، فَلَمْ أَرَ رَجُلًا أَفْضَلَ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَلَمْ أَرَ بَيْتًا أَفْضَلَ مِنْ بَيْتِ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) said: "I searched through the eastern and western parts of the earth, but I did not see any man more excellent than Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), nor did I see any household more excellent than the household of Banu Hashim."
At-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Musa bin Ubaydah al-Rabadhi, who is da'if (weak).
