وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي كَمَثَلِ نَخْلَةٍ نَبَتَتْ فِي مَزْبَلَةٍ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مُنْكَرٌ ، وَالظَّاهِرُ أَنَّهُ مِنْ قَوْلِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، إِنْ صَحَّ عَنْهُ ، فَإِنَّ فِيهِ ابْنَ لَهِيعَةَ وَمَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The likeness of me and of my household is like that of a date palm that grows in a rubbish heap."
At-Tabarani recorded it, and it is munkar (denounced). It appears that it is a saying of Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him), if it is authentically reported from him, because its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah and a narrator whom I do not know.
