عَنْ جَرِيرٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ : شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ ، وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ ، وَصَوْمِ رَمَضَانَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالصَّغِيرِ ، وَإِسْنَادُ أَحْمَدَ صَحِيحٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالصَّغِيرِ ، وَإِسْنَادُ أَحْمَدَ صَحِيحٌ .
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Islam is built upon five things: bearing witness that there is no god but Allah Almighty, establishing prayer, paying zakah, performing Hajj to the House of Allah, and fasting in Ramadan."
Imam Ahmad and Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it, and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; Imam Ahmad's chain is sahih (authentic).
