Majma al-Zawaid 13689 — Noble character and pardoning one who wrongs
وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ : ثُمَّ لَقِيتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبِرْنِي بِفَوَاضِلِ الْأَعْمَالِ . فَقَالَ : " يَا عُقْبَةُ ، صِلْ مَنْ قَطَعَكَ ، وَأَعْطِ مَنْ حَرَمَكَ ، وَأَعْرِضْ عَمَّنْ ظَلَمَكَ "
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Then I met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I took hold of his hand (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about the most virtuous deeds!" So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Uqbah! Whoever cuts you off, keep ties with him; whoever deprives you, give to him; and whoever wrongs you, turn away from him."
