Thanking a favour and recompensing the one who did it

وَعَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا يَشْكُرُ اللَّهَ مَنْ لَا يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Abu al-Malih has transmitted from Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "He does not thank Allah Almighty who is not grateful to people."
