Thanking a favour and recompensing the one who did it

وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : " لَا يَشْكُرُ اللَّهَ مَنْ لَا يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ " . رَوَاهُ كُلَّهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ .
In one narration the words are: "He has not thanked Allah Almighty who is not grateful to people." Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded all of these narrations; the narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
