وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا حِلْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ ،أَيُّمَا حِلْفٍ كَانَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَلَمْ يَزِدْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِلَّا شِدَّةً " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ جَدُّهُ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no alliance in Islam. Whatever alliance was made in the Days of Ignorance, Islam will only increase its strength."
Imam Abu Ya'la and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains the grandmother of Ibn Abi Mulaykah, and I do not know the two of them; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
