وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيَدْفَعُ بِالْمُسْلِمِ الصَّالِحِ عَنْ مِائَةٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ مِنْ جِيرَانِهِ الْبَلَاءَ " . ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : ( وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللَّهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَفَسَدَتِ الْأَرْضُ ) . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْعَطَّارُ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty, because of one righteous man, removes trial from a hundred households among his neighbours." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "And were it not for Allah Almighty repelling some people by means of others, the earth would be corrupted."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Yahya bin Sa'id al-Attar, who is da'if (weak).
