وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ : مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَلَى صِبْيَانٍ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ بِالتُّرَابِ ، فَنَهَاهُمْ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " دَعْهُمْ فَإِنَّ التُّرَابَ رَبِيعُ الصِّبْيَانِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُجَالِدِ بْنِ الرُّعَيْنِيِّ ، وَهُوَ مُتَّهَمٌ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَغَيْرِهِ .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by some children who were playing with dust. Some of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the children from it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave them! For dust is the springtime of children."
Imam Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Mujalid al-Ru'ayni, and he has been accused (of fabrication) regarding this hadith and others.
