Majma al-Zawaid 13460 — Maintaining and severing ties of kinship
وَعَنْ [أَبِي] الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " صِلُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ بِالسَّلَامِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ رَاوٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Maintain the ties of kinship by greeting with salam."
