وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيُعَمِّرُ بِالْقَوْمِ الدِّيَارَ ، وَيُثْمِرُ لَهُمُ الْأَمْوَالَ ، وَمَا نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ مُنْذُ خَلَقَهُمْ بُغْضًا لَهُمْ " . قِيلَ : وَكَيْفَ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " بِصِلَتِهِمْ أَرْحَامَهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah Almighty makes the lands of some people flourish and grants them wealth, although He has not looked at them since He created them, out of displeasure with them." It was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the reason for that?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Because they maintain the ties of kinship with one another."
