Majma al-Zawaid 13449 — Maintaining and severing ties of kinship
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " تُنَادِي الرَّحِمُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ : إِنَّ مَنْ وَصَلَنِي وَصَلَهُ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَنِي قَطَعَهُ اللَّهُ " . قُلْتُ : لَهُ حَدِيثٌ رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَغَيْرُهُ غَيْرَ هَذَا . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the womb will call out, saying: 'Whoever joined me, Allah Almighty will join him, and whoever cut me off, Allah Almighty will cut him off.'" (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith is reported from this Companion that Abu Dawud and others recorded, and it is different from this narration.
