وَعَنْ جَرِيرٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ : إِنَّنِي أَنَا الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ ، خَلَقْتُ الرَّحِمَ وَشَقَقْتُ لَهَا اسْمًا مِنْ أَسْمَائِي ، فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ ، وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعْتُهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو مُطِيعٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah Almighty wrote in the Preserved Tablet, before creating the heavens and the earth: 'Indeed I am the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. I created the womb and gave it a name connected to My names. Whoever joins it, I will join him, and whoever severs it, I will cut him off.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, al-Hakam bin Abdullah Abu Muti', who is matruk (abandoned).
