وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُمَدَّ لَهُ فِي عُمْرِهِ وَيُزَادَ فِي رِزْقِهِ فَلْيَبَرَّ وَالِدَيْهِ وَلِيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ " . قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا بِرَّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes that his life be lengthened and his provision be increased, let him treat his parents well and treat his relatives well." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This report is in the Sahih, but without the mention of treating parents well.
