Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The lifespan of a fly is forty days, and all flies will be in the Fire, except the honeybee."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). Hadiths with this meaning have already passed in the chapter on the (animals) that it is forbidden to kill in hunting.
