Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13386

Sayyiduna Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The jinn are of three kinds: one kind has wings and they fly in the air; one kind is in the form of snakes; and one kind sometimes alights and settles and sometimes departs."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy, though there is disagreement about some of them.
