وَعَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْمَجَرَّةُ الَّتِي فِي السَّمَاءِ هِيَ عِرْقُ حَيَّةٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَقَالَ : لَا يُرْوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Milky Way that is in the sky is the vein of a serpent beneath the Throne."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. He said: It is not narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) except with this chain. Its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-A'la bin Abi Amrah, whom I do not know. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
