بَابُ النَّهْيِ أَنْ يَقُولَ : مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا

عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ ، فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ بَرَّأَ هَذِهِ الْجَزِيرَةَ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ ، وَلَكِنْ أَخَافُ أَنْ تُضِلَّهُمُ النُّجُومُ قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، كَيْفَ تُضِلَّهُمُ النُّجُومُ " . قَالَ : " يَنْزِلُ الْغَيْثُ فَيَقُولُونَ : مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ ، وَإِسْنَادُ أَبِي يَعْلَى حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I set out from Madinah with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards Madinah and said: "Indeed Allah Almighty has freed this peninsula from polytheism, but I fear that the stars will lead them astray." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah, how will the stars lead them astray?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rain will come down and people will say: 'Rain has come down upon us because of such-and-such a star.'"
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat in abridged form. The chain of Abu Ya'la is hasan (good).
