Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13253

Sayyiduna Wahshi bin Harb (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: (Once) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out at night for some need and left the door open. When he returned, he found Iblis standing in the middle of the house. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Get away from my house, O wicked one!" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you go out of your houses at night, close their doors."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
