عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ - وَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا فِيمَا يَقْتُلُهُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ - فَقِيلَ لَهُ : وَمَا شَأْنُ الْفَأْرَةِ ؟ قَالَ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - اسْتَيْقَظَ وَقَدْ أَخَذَتِ الْفَتِيلَةَ وَصَعَدَتْ بِهَا إِلَى السَّقْفِ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ وَهُوَ لَيِّنٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
It is reported about Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the narrator mentioned a hadith from him about which animals a person in ihram may kill. In it, it is mentioned that he was asked: "What is the matter with the mouse?" He said: "Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up and the mouse had taken hold of the lamp's wick and was climbing up towards the ceiling with it."
Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Yazid bin Abi Ziyad, and he is layyin (soft, weak). The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
