وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اتَّقُوا فَوْرَةَ الْعَشَاءِ " . كَأَنَّهُ لِمَا يُخَافُ مِنَ الِاخْتِصَارِ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ يُسَمَّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of the onset of nightfall ('isha')." The narrator says: It is as though the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) feared that at that time the jinn (or devils and the like) are present.
