عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا وَرَّثَهُ وَالِدٌ وَلَدًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَدَبٍ حَسَنٍ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، قَهْرَمَانُ آلِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A father leaves his child no inheritance better than good upbringing."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Amr bin Dinar, the steward of the family of al-Zubayr, and he is da'if (weak).
