Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13153

Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks fame, Allah Almighty will expose his seeking of fame; and whoever shows off, Allah Almighty will expose his showing off; and whoever is double-tongued in this world, Allah Almighty will make for him two tongues made of the fire of Hell on the Day of Resurrection."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: In the Sahih only these words of it are recorded: "Whoever seeks fame, Allah Almighty will expose his seeking of fame; and whoever shows off, Allah Almighty will expose his showing off."
This narration was recorded by Imam al-Tabarani. Its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Hakim bin Mansur, who is matruk (abandoned).
