بَابُ الْأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ

وَعَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَتْ : كَانَتِ امْرَأَةٌ بِمَكَّةَ مَزَّاحَةً ، فَنَزَلَتْ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ شَبَهًا لَهَا ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ : صَدَقَ حِبِّي ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " الْأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ ، فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ ، وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ " . قَالَ : وَلَا أَعْلَمُ إِلَّا قَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ : وَلَا تعْرِفُ تِلْكَ الْمَرْأَةَ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Amrah bint Abd al-Rahman narrates: There was a woman in Makkah of a jesting temperament, and she stayed as a guest with a woman like herself. When this reached Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: "My beloved spoke the truth. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Souls (in the world of souls) are assembled troops. Those of them that knew one another (in the world of souls) are drawn to one another (in this world as well), and those that did not know one another (in the world of souls) remain apart from one another (in this world as well).'" The narrator says: To my knowledge, the report also contains the words that the woman had not known the other woman before.
