بَابُ لَا فَضْلَ لِأَحَدٍ عَلَى أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى
No one has superiority over another except by piety
Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13079

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، وَأَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، فَلَا فَضْلَ لِعَرَبِيٍّ عَلَى أَعْجَمِيٍّ ، وَلَا أَحْمَرَ عَلَى أَسْوَدَ إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْبَزَّارُ بِنَحْوِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، وَإِنَّ دِينَكُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، أَبُوكُمْ آدَمُ ، وَآدَمُ خُلِقَ مِنْ تُرَابٍ " .
وَرِجَالُ الْبَزَّارِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
" إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، وَأَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، فَلَا فَضْلَ لِعَرَبِيٍّ عَلَى أَعْجَمِيٍّ ، وَلَا أَحْمَرَ عَلَى أَسْوَدَ إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْبَزَّارُ بِنَحْوِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، وَإِنَّ دِينَكُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، أَبُوكُمْ آدَمُ ، وَآدَمُ خُلِقَ مِنْ تُرَابٍ " .
وَرِجَالُ الْبَزَّارِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your Lord is one and your forefather is one. No Arab has superiority over a non-Arab, and no red-skinned (that is, fair-skinned) person has superiority over a black-skinned person, except through taqwa."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar recorded something similar, except that he recorded these words: "Your forefather is one and your religion is one; your forefather is Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him), and Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) was created from dust." The narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar recorded something similar, except that he recorded these words: "Your forefather is one and your religion is one; your forefather is Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him), and Sayyiduna Adam (peace be upon him) was created from dust." The narrators of al-Bazzar are the narrators of the Sahih.
