Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13057

Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "He is not a liar who says something good or promotes something good."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Yahya bin Jurjah, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), and a narrator, Qaza'ah bin Suwayd, who narrates from him, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others also declared thiqah. The rest of the narrators of one of the two routes are the narrators of the Sahih.
