Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12988

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me something, and keep it brief, so that I may understand it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not become angry." I repeated my request twice, and each time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me the same answer: "Do not become angry."
Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains Ibn Abi al-Zinad, whom more than one scholar declared da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
