وَعَنْ وَحْشِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ :
" لَعَلَّكُمْ تَسْتَفْتِحُونَ بَعْدِي مَدَائِنَ عِظَامًا ، وَتَتَّخِذُونَ فِي أَسْوَاقِهَا مَجَالِسَ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ ، فَرُدُّوا السَّلَامَ ، وَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِكُمْ ، وَاهْدُوا الْأَعْمَى ، وَأَعِينُوا الْمَظْلُومَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَرِجَالُهُ كُلُّهُمْ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَفِي بَعْضِهِمْ ضَعْفٌ .

Sayyiduna Wahshi bin Harb (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Later on, after me, you will conquer great cities and hold gatherings in their markets. When that happens, return the greeting, lower your gazes, guide the blind and help the oppressed."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; all its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), though there is some weakness in some of them.
