It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to teach us that when someone sneezes, he should say: 'Alhamdulillahi Rabbil-'alamin' (All praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds), and the one with him should say: 'Yarhamuk Allah' (May Allah have mercy on you). When that person has said this, (the one who sneezed) should say: "May Allah Almighty forgive me and you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Ata' bin al-Sa'ib, whose memory had become confused (ikhtilat).
