وَعَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ جَهْمٍ الْبَلَوِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ :
وَافَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فَسَأَلَنَا مَنْ نَحْنُ ، فَقُلْنَا : نَحْنُ بَنُو عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ . قَالَ : " أَنْتُمْ بَنُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
وَافَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فَسَأَلَنَا مَنْ نَحْنُ ، فَقُلْنَا : نَحْنُ بَنُو عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ . قَالَ : " أَنْتُمْ بَنُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Ali bin Jahm al-Balawi narrates this statement of his father: We came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on Friday, and he asked us who we were. We said: We are the Banu Abd Manaf. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You are the Banu Abdullah.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Ya'qub bin Muhammad al-Zuhri, who is matruk (abandoned).
