Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Yarbu' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Which of us is greater? He said: You are greater than me and better than me, but I am older in years. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named him Sa'id. And he said: Al-Sirm has gone, meaning that his name had been al-Sirm.
Al-Tabarani recorded it with various chains, and al-Bazzar in abridged form, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
