Majma al-Zawaid 12859 — Changing names, the names that are prohibited

It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Qurt (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: What is your name? He replied: Shaytan bin Qurt. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You are Abdullah bin Qurt.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
