Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 128

Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) states: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him about Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bear witness that there is no god but Allah Almighty and that Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah; perform prayer, give zakah, fast in Ramadan, like for people what you like for yourself, and dislike for them what you dislike for yourself.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain contains a narrator, al-Hajjaj bin Artat.
