وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، إِنِّي لَمْ أَجْمَعْكُمْ لِخَبَرٍ جَاءَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ " . فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثَ الْجَسَّاسَةِ وَزَادَ فِيهِ " هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ تُطْوَى لَهُ الْأَرْضُ فِي أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ طَيْبَةَ " . قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَطَيْبَةُ الْمَدِينَةُ ، مَا بَابٍ مِنْ أَبْوَابِهَا إِلَّا عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ مُصْلِتٌ سَيْفَهُ يَمْنَعُهُ ، وَبِمَكَّةَ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، رِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood on the pulpit and said: "O people! I have not gathered you because some news has come from the heavens." After this the narrator mentioned the narration of the Jassasah and added these words in it: "He will be the Dajjal, for whom the earth will be folded up; in forty days (he will travel round the whole earth), but he will not be able to come into Taybah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Taybah means Madinah. At each of its gates an angel will be standing with his sword drawn, who will not let him (i.e. the Dajjal) enter, and it will be the same in Makkah."
