In one narration the words are: Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Nu'm, and here the narrator named Abu al-Walid is in doubt, perhaps the words are: Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Nu'aym al-A'raji says: A man asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about temporary marriage (mut'ah) with women, and I was with him at the time. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: By Allah! In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) we were neither fornicators nor those who kept secret liaisons. Then he said: By Allah! I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Before the Day of Resurrection there will surely be thirty or more dajjals and liars." Imam Ahmad recorded all of these narrations; Imam Abu Ya'la recorded the part about mut'ah and what follows it; Imam al-Tabarani also
recorded this report, but he recorded these words: "Before the Hour the Dajjal will come, and before the Dajjal thirty or more liars will come." We asked: "What is their sign?" He said: "That they will bring you ways which you did not follow before, and by them they will change your Sunnah and your religion. When you see them, keep away from them and treat them as enemies."
