Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Before the Hour there will be some liars: one of them is the one from al-Yamamah, one of them is al-Ansi, the one from San'a', one of them is the one from Himyar, and one of them will be the Dajjal, who will be the greatest tribulation among them." Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Some have narrated these words: "There will be close to thirty liars."
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. The chain of Imam al-Bazzar contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Maghra', whom a group declared thiqah (trustworthy); there is weakness in him. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih. The chain of Imam Ahmad contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, and he is weak.
