وَعَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَقْتَرِبَ الزَّمَانُ ، وَتَكُونَ السَّنَةُ كَالشَّهْرِ ، وَالشَّهْرُ كَالْجُمُعَةِ ، وَالْجُمُعَةُ كَالْيَوْمِ ، وَالْيَوْمُ كَاحْتِرَاقِ الْخُوصَةِ [ يَعْنِي : السَّعْفَةَ ] " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

It is narrated from him; he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until time contracts, so that a year will be like a month, a month like a week, a week like a day, and a day will be like the burning of a leaf."
