Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Before the Dajjal there will come some years of famine, in which rain will be abundant but produce will be little. During them the truthful person will be called a liar and the liar will be believed; during them the treacherous person will be entrusted and the trustworthy person declared treacherous; and during them the ruwaybidah will speak." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by ruwaybidah?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person to whom no regard is paid."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it with various chains; the best of them contains a narrator, Ibn Ishaq, and he is a mudallis. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
