وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ مِنْ عَلَامَاتِ الْبَلَاءِ وَأَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ تَعْزُبَ الْعُقُولُ ، وَتَنْقُصَ الْأَحْلَامُ ، وَيَكْثُرَ الْقَتْلُ ، وَتُرْفَعَ عَلَامَاتُ الْخَيْرِ ، وَتَظْهَرَ الْفِتَنُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَافِيَةُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the indications of affliction and the signs of the Hour is that minds will be dulled, understanding will diminish, killing will become abundant, the signs of goodness will be lifted, and tribulations will appear."
