Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Fajr prayer. When he had finished the prayer, a man called out to him loudly, saying: "When will the Hour come?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) scolded him, rebuked him and said: "Be quiet." Then, when the light of dawn had spread, he raised his gaze towards the sky and said: "Blessed is the One who raised it and who governs it." Then he turned his gaze towards the earth and said: "Blessed is the One who spread it out and who created it." Then he said: "Where is the man who asked about the Hour?" The man knelt on his knees and said: "It is I, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you! I asked you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That will be when the rulers act unjustly, the stars are believed in, divine decree is denied, until the trust is taken as booty, charity as a fine, and indecency increases. At that time your people will perish."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
