Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until indecency and the severing of the ties of kinship become widespread, there are bad neighbours, and the trustworthy person is declared treacherous." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! What will be the state of the believer at that time?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He will be like the bee: if it falls (into something edible), it does not spoil it, and if it is eaten, it is not broken; it brings out something pure. And (the example of the believer) will be like a piece of gold that enters the fire, and when it is taken out, its excellence has only increased."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Maghra', whom Abu Zur'ah and a group declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Ali bin al-Madini declared him da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
