Ibn Sirin narrates: When it was said to Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him): "Why do you not take part in the fighting? You are one of the people of the Shura, and you are more entitled to this matter than anyone else," he said: "I will not take part in the fighting until they bring me a sword that has two eyes, a tongue and two lips, and that can distinguish the believer from the disbeliever. I have indeed waged jihad, and I know what jihad is."
Al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
