بَابٌ فِيمَنْ دَاهَنَ وَسَكَتَ عَنِ الْحَقِّ وَأَهْلِ زَمَانِهِمْ .

وَعَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا ظَهَرَ الْقَوْلُ وَخُزِنَ الْعَمَلُ وَاخْتَلَفَتِ الْأَلْسُنُ وَتَبَاغَضَتِ الْقُلُوبُ وَقَطَعَ كُلُّ ذِي رَحِمٍ رَحِمَهُ فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَى أَبْصَارَهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When speech becomes manifest and deeds are hidden away, tongues differ, hearts hate one another, and every relative violates the rights of his kinship, then in that situation Allah Almighty will curse those people, make them deaf, and take away their sight."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
