وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَتَمَنَّوْنَ فِيهِ الدَّجَّالَ " . قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي ، مِمَّ ذَاكَ ؟ قَالَ : " مِمَّا يَلْقَوْنَ مِنَ الْعَنَاءِ وَالْعَنَاءِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَرَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ بِنَحْوِهِ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A time will come upon people in which they will wish for the Dajjal. I said: O Messenger of Allah! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, what will be the reason for that? He said: Because those people will face so many hardships, one after another."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy); al-Bazzar recorded something similar, and its narrators are also thiqat.
