عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، إِنَّكُمْ سَيُصِيبُكُمْ بَعْدِي جَفْوَةٌ ، فَاسْتَعِينُوا عَلَيْهَا بِأَرِقَّاءِ النَّاسِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ ، وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ فِي رِوَايَةٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ فِي غَيْرِهَا ، وَرَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Banu Hashim! Soon after me you will face harsh treatment, so seek help against it from the weak among people."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Husayn bin Abdullah al-Hashimi, whom the majority declared da'if (weak); according to one report Yahya bin Ma'in declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and according to another report he declared him da'if. Al-Bazzar recorded it in abridged form.
