Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12183

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever invites people to a saying or a deed but does not act upon it himself remains continuously under the displeasure of Allah Almighty until he refrains from it, or does what he said or what he invited to."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abdullah bin Khirash, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), saying: "He makes mistakes," while the majority declared him da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
