Book of Tribulations (may Allah protect us from them)
بَابٌ فِيمَنْ قَدَرَ عَلَى نَصْرِ مَظْلُومٍ أَوْ إِنْكَارِ مُنْكَرٍ .
One who is able to help an oppressed person or to condemn an evil

وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ أُذِلَّ عِنْدَهُ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَمْ يَنْصُرْهُ وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَنْصُرَهُ أَذَلَّهُ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - عَلَى رُؤُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَهُوَ حَسَنُ الْحَدِيثِ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has a believer humiliated in his presence and does not help him, though he has the ability to help him, Allah Almighty will humiliate him before all creation on the Day of Resurrection."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, who is hasan al-hadith (fair in hadith), though there is weakness in him; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
